Working with Microsoft - a dream coming true!
Malayattoor to Microsoft - that was a dream of mine from the beginning of my MCA education. I was not sure if that is going to happen, but I always liked to believe so.
Microsoft Community Star
In April 2004, I received the Community Star award from Microsoft for contributions to the .NET community through my website http://www.dotnetspider.com
My name is published in this Microsoft page : http://www.microsoft.com/india/communitystar/CurrentSelections.aspx.
Microsoft India
I came to Microsoft, Bangalore as a .NET consultant. This was a long term assignment from SRA. I worked on large, highly technical projects for clients of Microsoft, under the guidance of senior technical managers of Microsoft. We worked on various Microsoft technologies like ASP.NET, C#, Vb.NET, Commerce Server, BizTalk Server etc. It was a great technical experience to work on very complex & large projects under Microsoft guidance and it contributed a lot in making me a .NET specialist.
After being with Microsoft for around a year, I decided to leave SRA due to some personal/family reasons.
Microsoft USA
However, after joining the new company (Digital GlobalSoft India - a subsidiary of Hewlett Packard), my first project was for Microsoft USA. It was really thrilling to be again working for Microsoft, that too being with a wonderful company like Digital.
I was the technical lead of a team in Digital, developing .NET related tools for Microsoft Corporation.
Visit the MSDN article for more info about this project http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnpag/html/wsfacadelegacyapp.asp

SageStone - a GOLD certified Microsoft partner.
One of my projects in Digital was an onsite assignment with SageStone Consulting, USA. SageStone is a GOLD certified Microsoft partner company and many architects from Microsoft Corp are involved in the projects. It was another great opportunity for me to learn directly from Microsoft.
Who made me a .NET specialist ?
I was closely watching the .NET technologies from the day Microsoft announced it's new technology platforms. I registered with Microsoft as a beta tester for the beta 1 and beta 2 versions of Visual Studio.NET. And finally, when SRA tied up with Microsoft for Dot Net, I returned from USA with the aim of becoming part of the team. Now I am so proud that I got the great opportunity to have technical association with Microsoft on various projects. All these contributed a lot in making me a .NET specialist.
Also, I developed my own web sites ( http://www.DotNetSpider.com, http://www.AspSpider.com, http://www.IndiaStudyChannel.com, http://www.IndiaReviewChannel.com, http://www.asianspider.com, http://www.spiderkerala.com, http://www.tonyjohn.com) using the .NET technologies, which was a good learning experience when .NET was quite new to the world and not enough documentation was available.
